Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding, 30 December 1986 Hereford, England) is a English artist and singer. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to the catchy electro-pop songs "Starry Eyed" as well as Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding makes a mark as a contemporary musician with her distinctive soprano voice, and her talent in making songs that are captivating and empathetic.
